So What Will You Learn On This Course?

This amazing course has been designed step by step to ensure that over the six week period you and your dog will gain more confidence as you go along. By the end of the course you and your dog will have gained new information, methods and techniques to work with right throughout the life of your dog.
Week 1
Introductions & “The Walk”
Nikki will meet you all and take individual assessment of you and your dog’s health, behaviour and pack ranking. You will be assessed how your dog walks with you on the lead and be taught the correct way to get your dog to heel using natural walking equipment and balancing lead techniques along with the correct mind-set and calm focused energy.
Week 2
What is the correct diet to feed my dog?
Diet and nutrition is key to having a balanced healthy and happy dog so you learn which foods contain the most nutrients for your pets and which ones you should avoid to save on behaviour and health problems down the line.
Week 3
Understanding dog psychology and the pack rules.
You will learn the basics of dog psychology so you can begin to understand what your dog is thinking and why it behaves in certain ways. With this understanding you will be able to begin to unravel and learn how you can overcome and combat any behavioural problems your dog might be showing, using natural canine behaviour methods.
Week 4
Communication.
You will learn the wonderful language of “dog” and be able to read their body signals and know what they mean. You will be taught how to use your own body language to communicate with your dog, other dogs and other dog owners that you meet, which will help save you from having conflicts when out on the walk.
Week 5
A Healthy Mind & Body
You will learn about natural health for animals and which complementary therapies work wonders in treating and preventing both major and minor health or behavioural problems your pet may encounter throughout its life. You will also learn different mind and mood control strategies to help you turn some of your own negativity & fears surrounding your dog into a more positive mind-set which will enable your confidence to shine through.
Week 6
Becoming a great pack leader.
Final grading time. You and your dog will assessed on your gained knowledge and training over the six weeks, and will be assessed on how you interact with the rest of the pack off lead and how you handle your dog in this situation. This course has been specially designed so that over the weeks as you learn the necessary steps to ensure both you and your dog’s confidence will have improved dramatically, leaving you feeling that you have a full and balanced understanding of your best friend.
